What is ALMI™?
ALMI™, which stands for autologous lipocyte micronized injection, is a procedure that utilizes your own fat to help restore the skin in your face and/or hands. Your fat is processed in order to isolate the desired components and can be combined with platelet-rich plasma, PRP, which is then injected into the desired treatment areas. It helps improve skin volume, texture, and tone.
How Much Does ALMI™ Cost?
ALMI™ costs vary from person to person. At Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery, we offer our patients numerous payment options, including financing through CareCredit®. If you’d like to learn more about pricing and how much ALMI™ treatment might cost for you, call us to schedule your consultation. Our staff will provide with you with all the necessary information about the procedure.
Am I a Candidate for ALMI™?
ALMI™ is great for anyone looking to reverse the natural aging process and improve the quality of their skin in their face. It is also great for those looking to rejuvenate the skin in their hands as well.
How is ALMI™ Performed?
ALMI™ is done by first taking fat from another region, typically the abdomen or flank, with a needle-sized cannula. Blood might also be drawn to use for PRP injections. Once the fat is processed to leave only the necessary components, this fat and PRP is injected into the treatment areas, whether it is different parts of the face, like the lips, or hands. The procedure is done under local anesthesia.
What is Recovery Like After ALMI™?
ALMI™ is a minimally invasive and non-surgical option, meaning you might experience some minor side effects. These include drainage from the site where the fat was removed or mild bruising and swelling in the treatment areas. Strenuous exercise is prohibited for a few days to help with recovery.
How Long Will My ALMI™ Results Last?
ALMI™ results last for more than two years, and the results are seen immediately. They continue to improve over the course of a few months. ALMI™ treatment is a great option for those looking for great results without having to undergo surgery.
