What is a Breast Lift?
A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that is done to lift and reshape breasts. It is done for those dealing with sagging breasts, and techniques vary. The best technique will be chosen for your specific needs. In some cases, it can also be done in combination with other breast surgery procedures, including breast reduction or breast augmentation.

How is a Breast Lift Performed?
A breast lift is done under general anesthesia. It is typically performed by creating three separate incisions. One is made around the areolas, another vertical incision from the areola to the crease of the breast, and one along the breast crease. Through these incisions, excess skin is removed, and the nipple and areola are moved higher.
What is Recovery Like After Breast Lift?
Breast lift, like breast augmentation or other breast surgical procedures, requires the use of a surgical bra the day after the procedure. This is worn full-time for three to four weeks to help your breasts heal maintaining the desired shape. Lifting anything above your head is prohibited for a week. In many cases, people return to work after around a week.
