Renuvion reduces helium gas into a plasma beam that contracts the fibers beneath the skin’s surface to stimulate shrinkage of the skin. This procedure can be used on its own or many times combined with liposuction to get the best results.
How Is Renuvion Performed?
Renuvion is performed under local anesthesia in the office. It usually takes about 1 hour per treatment area but may take longer if combined with other body contouring procedures or multiple areas are done.
A numbing solution is first administered to the area to be treated, followed by liposuction if both procedures are combined. Dr. Pisarski will then insert a small probe under the skin. The radiofrequency flows through the helium gas beam and down the probe to stimulate the collagen and elastin in the underlying subcutaneous tissue while retracting the skin.

What Is Recovery Like After Renuvion?
Recovery after Renuvion is not extensive. You return home the day of the procedure and will be able to resume your normal daily activities within a day or two. You will wear a compression garment on the treated areas to help speed up recovery.
